She is still transgender!

About once a month we take Callie to see a therapist to talk about everything and to make sure we're handling this situation correctly. Every so often they evaluate her to make sure she still wants to do all of this and it's weird to me. It weird that my kid has to prove to people she in fact a girl, I mean it's hard enough being transgender but to have people in the medical field question it just irks me. I understand they're doing their job and making sure that we're not forcing our child to do something, but like I said it's weird. With all that being said, she is in fact still transgender. I never had a doubt in my mind, I was very proud of her when she answered all the questions honestly too. We were told that she is on the right track and we're doing a great job with her and treating her how she wants to be treated. Hearing that was honestly beyond comforting, there are times when I feel like I'm not doing this right and that we should be taking more action to get her to feel more like a girl but right now everything is apparently how it should be. Callie did vocalize she would like to get surgery the moment she's allowed so I guess Jason and I better start saving up for that! I am hoping and praying that her journey continues to go so smoothly, despite some hate we may get from random people who really don't matter we haven't had any big issues and I truly believe that's part of the reason this is going so well for her, she knows the whole family supports her and I honestly can never thank my family and friends enough for promising me that they will always have my girls back. To the people who still aren't understanding of the situation, I pray one day you are and until then just please don't mess with my girl or any other transgender person. Thank you.
